Four arrested after armed robbery in Blacktown

Four people have been arrested in connection to a robbery in Sydney’s west.

About 9.45am today, three men and a woman entered a business on Carnegie Place, Blacktown, and allegedly threatened staff with weapons including a firearm and an axe.

A male staff member was assaulted, suffering head and facial injuries, before the offenders fled with cash.

Police and Ambulance Paramedics attended. The staff member was taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment.

A short time later police stopped a vehicle on Sunnyholt Road, Blacktown, and arrested the four occupants; three men aged 25, 26 and 32; and a woman aged 30.

They were taken to Blacktown Police Station where they are assisting with inquiries.
