Four arrested following armed robbery in Elwood

Police have arrested four teenagers following an alleged armed robbery in Elwood earlier this morning, Victoria Police say.

The incident happened at a service station on Marine Parade just before 1am.

The victim of the alleged armed robbery, a 37-year-old Broadmeadows man, told police that a group of teenagers, possibly three boys and one female, armed with knives, threatened him before taking his keys and driving away in his car.

Shortly after 3am four teenagers were arrested in Healesville and are currently being interviewed by Port Phillip Crime Investigation Unit detectives in relation to the armed robbery.

The teenagers, a 14-year-old from Ashwood, two 15-year-old boys, from Altona Meadows and Elsternwick and a 16-year-old Werribee girl are expected to be charged with armed robbery, theft of motor car and weapon offences.
