Four arrested in a stolen car at West Lakes, SA

Port Adelaide police have arrested four people after a short pursuit in a stolen car at West Lakes overnight, according to SA Police.

Just before 11pm (Tuesday 24 January) a patrol spotted a blue Holden Commodore sedan travelling at speed along West Lakes Boulevard. Checks revealed that the car had been stolen from a Devon Park address on Monday 23 January.

Police pursued the car for a short period before it stopped on Reedbeds Court due to a mechanical fault.

Four occupants of the car were quickly arrested.

A 20-year-old man from Nover Gardens was charged with aggravated driving dangerously to escape police pursuit, illegal use and drive disqualified and the three passengers, a 51-year-old man from Findon, a 39-year-old man from West Croydon and a 31-year-old woman from North Plympton were charged with illegal use.

The four have been bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on 7 March 2017.
