Four arrested in Hawthorn

Police have arrested four people following a series of incidents through the south eastern suburbs this afternoon, Victoria Police say.

The four were arrested following a collision at the intersection of Riversdale and Glenferrie Roads in Hawthorn just after 3.20pm.

No one was injured and the two males and two females will now be interviewed.

The stolen vehicle was initially sighted on Heatherton Road in Dandenong about 2.35pm after it sped past police.

The vehicle, which was being driven erratically, was followed by police and a short pursuit took place before being terminated.

The vehicle then travelled down the Monash Freeway before exiting in Burnley.

Police continued to monitor the vehicle and arrested the four with assistance from members of the public after it struck two vehicles in Hawthorn.
