Four cars set alight at Penrith

Police from Nepean Police Area Command are investigating after four cars were deliberately set alight at Penrith overnight.

About 3.25am (Wednesday 15 January 2020), emergency services attended Lethbridge Street, near Evans Street, following reports several cars were alight.

Fire and Rescue NSW extinguished the fires and a crime scene was established.

It appears the cars were set alight and an accelerant may have been used.

Police are investigating reports that two males in hoodies riding push-bikes, were seen in the area just prior to the incident.

No one was injured, and police are treating the incident as suspicious.

Investigations are continuing.
