Three men and a woman will face court following investigations into a break and enter at a high-end designer store at Rosebery last month, NSW Police say.
About 2.40am on Friday 29 December 2017, police were notified via an alarm activation that three men allegedly gained entry to a retail store on Dunning Avenue, Rosebery, and fled with a large amount of designer clothing.
Upon arrival, police conducted an extensive search of the area; however, failed to locate the men.
Police will allege in court that after the break-in, the clothing was being sold online through a marketplace at low prices.
Police also allege the same offenders were involved in a break and enter at a mechanic workshop in Matraville before the incident, during which a car was stolen.
Redfern Local Area Command officers, with the assistance of detectives from State Crime Command’s Robbery and Serious Crime Squad, launched an investigation into the incident and following inquiries, yesterday (Wednesday 10 January 2018), executed three search warrants at homes in Redfern, Marrickville and Surry Hills.
Officers arrested three men aged 21, 22, 23, and a 19-year-old woman and they were taken to Redfern Police Station.
The 19-year-old female was charged with dispose of stolen property (x3) and deal with proceeds of crime. She was conditionally bailed to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Monday 5 February 2018.
The 23-year-old man was charged with aggravated break, enter and steal (x2) and take and drive conveyance. He was bail refused to appear at Central Local Court today (Thursday 11 January 2018).
The 22-year-old was charged with aggravated break, enter and steal (x2) and carried in conveyance. He was granted conditional bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Monday 29 January 2018.
The 21-year-old was charged with aggravated break, enter and steal (x2), carried in conveyance and a further seven charges that relate to other break and enter and fraud offences. He was bail refused to appear at Central Local Court today (Thursday 11 January 2018).
Some of the clothing has been recovered.
Police are asking members of the public to be mindful of any Camilla and Marc branded clothing at suspiciously low prices being advertised and report it to police via Crime Stoppers.
