Four charged following investigations into drug supply network, NSW

Four people have been charged following on-going investigations into an alleged Mt Druitt drug supply syndicate today, NSW Police say.

Strike Force Leumeh commenced in May this year by detectives from Mt Druitt Police Area Command to investigate an alleged drug supply network in the local area.

About 6am (Thursday 26 July 2018), local police with the assistance of Operational Support Group (OSG) and Public Order and Riot Squad (PORS) officers, executed four search warrants at two homes in Hebersham and two homes in Willmot.

At a home in Carlisle Road, Hebersham, officers arrested two men aged 28 and 22. There they seized an electronic control device disguised as a torch, cannabis, methylamphetamine, cash and mobile phones.

Another search warrant was executed at a home on Mackeller Road, Hebesham. There officers seized an indictable quantity of amphetamines, a trafficable quantity of cannabis, pills and over $18,000 in cash.

At a home on Captain Cook Drive, Willmot, officers arrested a 50-year-old man and allegedly located drug implements, multiple mobile phones, a white crystal substance and green vegetable matter suspected to be methylamphetamine and cannabis.

A 53-year-old man was arrested at a home in Balboa Place, Willmot. Drug paraphernalia, cannabis, cash and mobile phones were located at that address.

All items were secured for forensic analysis and all four men were taken to Riverstone Police Station.

A 50-year-old man was charged with 19 offences including, knowingly direct activities of criminal group, organises/conducts/assists drug premises, supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis (x2), supply prohibited drug (x13) and possess prohibited drug (x2).

A 53-year-old man was charged with 20 offences including, knowingly direct activities of criminal group, organises/conducts/assists drug premises, supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis (x3), supply prohibited drug (x14) and possess prohibited drug.

A 28-year-old man was charged with 20 offences including, knowingly direct activities of criminal group, organises/conducts/assists drug premises, supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis (x3), supply prohibited drug (x14) and possess prohibited drug.

A 22-year-old man was charged with 24 offences including, knowingly direct activities of criminal group, organises/conducts/assists drug premises, supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis (x3), supply prohibited drug (x14) and possess prohibited drug (x2), knowingly deal with proceeds of crime, supply prohibited drug (greater than indictable quantity) and supply cannabis (greater than indictable quantity).

All four men were refused bail to appear at Mt Druitt Local Court tomorrow (Friday 27 July 2018).

Investigations are continuing.
