Four Charged in Western Sydney Home Invasion, Chase

Four people have been charged following an alleged home invasion and pursuit in Sydney's west this morning.

Police were called to a house in Adah Street, Guildford, just after midnight (Saturday 30 August 2025), following reports five people had forced their way into the house before smashing windows and damaging two vehicles parked outside. They then left the home.

A 46-year-old man, two women aged 38 and 56, and two girls aged 15 and 16, were home at the time but were not physically injured.

Officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene, commencing inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A short time later, police saw a vehicle allegedly linked to the incident on Blaxcell Street, Granville. When the driver allegedly failed to stop when directed, a pursuit was initiated. It continued to Prospect where five people were taken into custody.

All were assessed by NSW Ambulance paramedics with one man, aged 18, taken to hospital for treatment for a suspected broken arm. He remains there under police guard.

The remaining four were taken to Granville Police Station.

Following inquiries, officers attached to Taskforce Falcon attended the station and – assisted by Cumberland Police and officers from Traffic and Highway Patrol Command – four people have now been charged.

The alleged driver, a 16-year-old boy, has been charged with 15 offences,

• Take and drive conveyance without consent of owner

• Aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence – in company – not steal etc (two counts)

• Destroy or damage property (four counts)

• Never licensed person drive vehicle on road, and

• Destroy/damage property intend criminal activity of group

• Aggravated dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm – escaping pursuit

• Dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm – drive manner dangerous

• Cause bodily harm by misconduct, in charge of motor vehicle

• Negligent driving (occasions grievous bodily harm)

• Police pursuit – not stop – drive dangerously, and

• Not give particulars to police.

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with eight offences,

• Be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner

• Aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence – in company – not steal etc (two counts)

• Destroy or damage property (four counts), and

• Destroy/damage property intend criminal activity of group.

Both boys were refused bail to appear in a children's court today (Saturday 30 August 2025). The older boy has again been refused bail to appear in a children's court on Monday 8 September 2025.

An 18-year-old man from Rooty Hill, has been charged with eight offences,

• Be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner

• Aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence – in company – not steal etc (two counts)

• Destroy or damage property (three counts)

• Take and drive conveyance without consent of owner, and

• Destroy/damage property intend criminal activity of group.

The man has also been charged with breach of bail.

An 18-year-old man from Whalan has been charged with eight offences,

• Be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner

• Aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence – in company – not steal etc (two counts)

• Destroy or damage property (three counts)

• Take and drive conveyance without consent of owner, and

• Destroy/damage property intend criminal activity of group.

Both men have been refused bail to appear in Parramatta Local Court tomorrow (Sunday 31 August 2025).
