Four teens arrested after Tennyson break-in, SA

Four youths have been arrested after a break-in at Tennyson, which then led to a pursuit through the northwestern suburbs, according to SA Police.

Police will allege that at about 11.55pm on Wednesday 26 April, a house in Seaview Road was broken into and items were stolen from inside, including a handbag and mobile phones. A man and woman at home at the time disturbed the intruders, who fled in a stolen Subaru station wagon.

The car had been stolen from a Brompton address on Tuesday afternoon.

The victims notified police of the tracking software available on the phones, and police later found the car on Bower Road. A brief pursuit began, with patrols utilising the police helicopter (PolAir) to safely monitor the stolen car from above.

The car was followed by PolAir throughout the northwestern suburbs, before the suspects abandoned the car in The Grove in Woodville Park at about 1.40am.

Police dogs were called in to assist in the search for the suspects, who were located soon after. A fifth suspect is still outstanding.

A 17-year-old Kilkenny boy, a 16-year-old Mansfield Park boy, a 16-year-old Port Adelaide boy and a 15-year-old Pennington boy will face numerous charges including illegal use of a motor vehicle, aggravated serious criminal trespass and theft. All four have been refused bail and will appear in the Adelaide Youth Court today.
