Four teens arrested on Delfin Island

Four teenagers were arrested after a break-in at Tennyson this morning.

Police were called to Bournemouth Street, Tennyson after an occupant disturbed intruders in her house about 7.30am on Tuesday 8 August.

The woman was not injured and the suspects ran off.

Police swarmed the area and called in the assistance of PolAir and Police Dogs Zeus and Bandit.

The group were tracked to Delfin Island, West Lakes and officers quickly cordoned off the island.

Police received lots of assistance from the public reporting sightings and flagging down patrols in the area.

A short time later, four boys, aged 15, 17, 17 and 18, were all apprehended.

They were arrested and charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass and theft.

Police thank the local community for their assistance in this matter.
