A fourth man has been charged after a teenage boy was allegedly shot in Sydney's west earlier this year.
About 7.40pm on Friday 7 February 2025, police attended Bankstown Hospital following reports a 17-year-old boy – in the company of an 18-year-old man – had presented with a gunshot wound to the right leg.
The 18-year-old man was arrested at the time and charged with six offences, including conceal serious indictable offence. He remains before the courts.
As part of inquiries, police established a crime scene at a park on Mulga Street, Punchbowl, where they located and seized a spent ammunition cartridge which underwent forensic examination.
Detectives attached to Bankstown Police Area Command commenced an investigation, under Strike Force Osage.
On Thursday 27 February 2025, investigators executed search warrants at two homes in Greenacre, seizing a loaded firearm, cocaine, MDMA and cash at a home on Wilbur Street.
An occupant, an 18-year-old man was arrested and charged with alleged firearms offences. He remains before the courts.
On Wednesday 30 May 2025, a second man, a 19-year-old-man, was arrested a correctional facility at Silverwater and charged with alleged firearms offences. He also remains before the courts.
Following further inquiries, police arrested a 19-year-old man at a home on Wilbur Street, Greenacre, about 8.25am today (Friday 13 June 2025).
He was taken to Bankstown Police Station where he was charged with supply prohibited drug more than indictable and less than commercial quantity, possess unauthorised pistol, and recklessly deal with proceeds of crime more than $5000.
He was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court tomorrow (Saturday 14 June 2025).
