Fourth youth charged over Launceston wounding

A fourth youth has been charged over a wounding incident at a Launceston shopping complex on Wednesday evening where a man was seriously injured.

The 16-year-old was taken into custody just after 1.30pm today.

The youth has since been charged with wounding, trespass and possess dangerous article in a public place.

He has been detained to appear in the Youth Justice Division of the Launceston Magistrates Court tonight.

A 15-year-old, and two 16-year-olds were charged yesterday in relation to the incident.

They were expected to appear in court earlier today.

The victim remains at the Launceston General Hospital in a stable condition.
