A Frankston man is still pinching himself in disbelief after a spur-of-the-moment Instant Scratch-Its purchase revealed a $100,000 top prize win.
The Melbourne resident's whim winning $5 Hidden Gems Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at Karingal Lotto News and Gifts, Shop S042, Karingal Hub, 330 Cranbourne Road, Frankston.
When speaking with an official from The Lott, the stunned winner confessed the entire experience had been surreal.
"I'm still pinching myself," he said.
"I bought the ticket on a whim with a bit of spare change in my pocket.
"It's certainly a life-changing sum of money for me.
"It's hard to put into words what this means. It's a surreal feeling.
"I'm pretty bloody happy.
"It's the start of a new chapter for me.
"I'll be able to settle some debt and get myself in a strong position to enter the property market."
