Fraud, Property Charges for Two in Riverina

Two people will face court today, after being charged with multiple property and fraud offences in the Riverina.

Sometime between 4pm on Tuesday 21 October 2025 and 6.50am on Wednesday 22 October, a wallet an Ipad were allegedly stolen from a car in Simkin Crescent, Kooringal.

About 7.33am on Tuesday 21 October 2025, Police will allege the stolen bank cards were used at a number of retails stores in Lake Albert Road, Kooringal – totalling over $500.

About 3pm on Wednesday 22 October 2025, officers attached to the Riverina Police District with assistance from the Region Enforcement Squad executed a search warrant at a unit in Kooringal.

Police seized a wallet, bank cars, an Ipad – which police were alleged were stolen.

A 29-year-old man and 37-year-old woman were arrested and taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station.

The 29-year-old man was charged with three counts of dishonestly obtain financial advantage etc by deception, goods in personal custody suspected being stolen and drive motor vehicle during disqualification period.

He was refused bail and appeared in Bail Division Court 5 yesterday (Thursday 23 October 2025), where he was formally refused bail to reappear in Wagga Wagga Local Court on Wednesday 5 November 2025.

The 37-year-old woman was charged with three counts of dishonestly obtain financial advantage etc by deception and goods in personal custody suspected being stolen.

She was granted conditional bail to appear in Wagga Wagga Local Court on Wednesday 17 December 2025.
