Police are urging people to be wary of purchasing tickets, coupons and vouchers for Sydney's Royal Easter Show through unofficial sellers following reports of credit card fraud.
Police are investigating the use of fraudulent credit cards to purchase bulk tickets, coupons and vouchers for the annual event which are then on-sold to unsuspecting buyers through online market places.
On Friday (7 April 2017) police arrested two men at the show after a suspected stolen credit card was allegedly used to purchase more than $800 worth of coupons and vouchers.
The men have been released pending further inquiries.
Tickets, coupons and vouchers which are purchased fraudulently could be voided at the event, irrespective of whether those using them are aware they are fraudulent.
Police are continuing to work closely with event organisers and official ticket sellers as investigations continue, NSW Police say.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
