Rachel from Bella Madre Photography has been contributing her slice of kindness to Horsham by offering a drive-by family portrait service, for free.
During this time of social and economic disruption, Rachel is offering her skills to help families in isolation connect with each other. The resulting photographs are a positive memento from this difficult time, highlighting isolation as a time when families slowed down and spent significant time together.
Rachel takes these photos from the street as she is passing by, observing social distancing rules. She has been overwhelmed with requests from families, with over 30 drive-by shoots booked last week.
Many families have never had the opportunity to have a professional family portrait taken before, so this was an exciting first experience.
One couple who have recently had a baby were able to share their new family member for the first time since stage three restrictions were introduced.
The project is designed to provide a service during these tough times, that many people never get a chance to do. Rachel is glad to be able to give back to the community through this gesture of kindness.
