Council is proud to be hosting a free end-of-life planning and info session for Dying to Know Day 2026 at Jindabyne Library on Friday 14 August 2026. The event marks the second year for the initiative in our region, following a successful local launch in 2025.

Local service providers will join staff from the Council cemeteries team to raise awareness and share information with the public, as part of the national Dying to Know Day awareness campaign.

All are welcome at Jindabyne Library on Friday 14 August 2026 from 10am to 12pm. Get free advice on wills, estate planning, funerals, burial, interment, and everything else you need to know to plan ahead.

Dying to Know Day takes place each August, encouraging people across Australia to have honest and empowering conversations about end-of-life-planning.

Research from YouGov in 2022 showed that only about half of us are comfortable talking with family about end-of-life.

Nobody knows what your wishes are unless you tell them. Don't wait until it's too late.

Make this Dying to Know Day the time to talk with your loved ones about what you'd like done when the time comes. It'll be the secret you're glad you shared.

Stop by for a chat about end-of-life planning at Jindabyne Library from 10am to 12pm on Friday 14 August 2026.
