Lithgow Council
This morning, Council's Ranger and Animal Shelter staff provided the community with free microchipping for dogs at Emora Park in Bowenfels.
The team were able to implant 18 dogs with microchips. The team also updated the details several dogs who already had chips with out-of-date information.
Council end of year stats for 24/25 FY revealed an alarming number of animals that could not be returned to their owner due to outdated information on the microchip or the animals having no microchip at all.
Thank you to all of the responsible pet owners who came out to see our team and did the right thing for their furry friends.
