Free Webinar on Driving Digital Innovation

NT Government

Digital Futures is back for 2021 in a virtual setting.

On Wednesday 25 August 2021 from 2-5pm, Driving Digital Innovation will feature female digital innovators sharing their experiences throughout the global pandemic.

The speakers will discuss their ideas and experiences, challenges and successes to bring their technology to fruition and share their unique career journeys and words of wisdom to inspire women to consider a digital career, especially focusing on the past 18 months.

Local media personality and MC Amanda Jarrett will ask the big questions;

· How has the COVID-19 pandemic driven female digital innovation?

· How has technology advanced during the pandemic and what does that mean for you?

· What does the digital sector look like in 2021 and how can you develop your career in this industry?

According to ACS Australia's Digital Pulse 2021, in 2020 women made up just 29% of the technology workforce in Australia. It also found that to improve access to digital skills the technology sector needs to expand its talent pool and tap into underutilised talent – namely women. This will be critical to longer term industry growth.

Encouraging women into technology creates diversity of thought, leading to better problem solving, resulting in better tech products.

The webinar will feature a range of women who are driving technical innovation throughout the global pandemic.

Registration is free at digitalfutures.nt.gov.au
