Further arrests made following Chapel Street brawl

Stonnington Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested and charged a further four men following a brawl on Chapel Street in Prahran on 8 February, Victoria Police say.

A man was located with serious injuries following an incident in Prahran about 1am.

Police and emergency services attended the scene on Chapel Street following reports of a brawl between approximately 20 people.

A 30-year-old man sustained head injuries and was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Two other men, both aged 29, were transported to hospital with minor injuries.

A 19-year-old Western Australian man has been charged with affray, behave in a riotous manner and attempt to intentionally cause injury.

An 18-year-old Western Australian man has been charged with affray, behave in riotous manner and a number of associated assault charges.

A fifth man, an 18-year-old from Western Australia, was interviewed but not charged.

All four men have been bailed to appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 2 May.
