Further charges laid over brawl at Auburn

A third man has been charged following a brawl in Auburn earlier this week.

About 11pm on Monday (31 January 2022), emergency services were called to Park Road and Queen Street, Auburn, following reports of an alleged brawl.

On arrival, two men – aged 39 and 53 – were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for lacerations to their heads.

The younger man was taken to Westmead Hospital and the older man was taken to Auburn Hospital, both in a stable condition.

Officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

Four men were spoken to by police at the scene and released pending further inquiries.

Following inquiries, two men – aged 39 and 53 – were charged and remain before the courts.

About 5pm tonight (Wednesday 2 February 2022), a third man, aged 30, attended Auburn Police Station where he was arrested by investigators.

He was charged with affray and granted strict conditional bail to appear at Burwood Local Court on Thursday 24 February 2022.
