Further Three Teenagers Charged After Bendigo Stabbing

Bendigo Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a further three teenagers following an alleged stabbing in Bendigo last week.

The trio were arrested this morning during search warrants in the Greater Bendigo area.

Two 15-year-old boys and a 17-year-old boy were all charged with:

  • intentionally cause injury
  • affray
  • assault with a weapon

One of the 15-year-olds was also charged with unrelated theft and criminal damage offences.

They will all face a children's court this evening.

The charges follow an alleged incident where a man was set upon by youths in Bath Lane following an altercation about 9pm on Thursday, 4 June.

The injured man made his way from the laneway to a licensed premises and sought assistance after the offenders fled the scene.

He was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested by Protective Services Officers at Bendigo Railway Station on Saturday, 6 June and was subsequently charged and remanded in custody by a children's court.

Investigators are not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.
