Gang Crime Squad arrest South Australian fugitive wanted for attempted murder

Gang Crime Squad detectives have this morning arrested a man wanted in South Australia for attempted murder.

Police, with the assistance of the dog squad, executed a search warrant at a Peppercorn Parade address in Epping early this morning, arresting a 23-year-old South Australian man.

His arrest follows a brawl at a licensed premises on Grenfell Street in Adelaide on Sunday, 13 March where several victims were stabbed or assaulted with weapons.

Detectives from SAPOL's Operation MELD Taskforce will arrive in Melbourne tomorrow to apply for his extradition.

He will face Melbourne Magistrates' Court later today.
