Gel blasters seized at Mawson Lakes

A large number of gel blasters were seized from a Mawson Lakes home this morning.

About 9.30am on Friday 29 April, Northern District police attended a Mawson Lakes address after a member of the public reported seeing what appeared to be two rifles in the window of the house.

Police spoke to the occupant and conducted a search of the premises, resulting in the seizure of 26 unregistered gel blasters.

The 48-year-old Mawson Lakes man was reported for various firearms offences and will be summonsed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court at a later date.

Police remind the public that it is an offence to possess gel blasters without a licence and they must be registered.
