Georges River Council is inviting the community to take part in Humans of Georges River. This is a new storytelling project that celebrates the people who make our area vibrant, diverse and uniquely ours.
The project will capture everyday life in the Georges River area through professional photo portraits and recorded interviews.
Anyone who lives, works or spends time in Georges River can take part. Participants will be able to share stories about their experiences, identity and connection to place.
These stories will show the many voices, cultures and connections that shape our community. Together, they will create a living snapshot of Georges River as it is today.
Humans of Georges River will become part of Council's Community History Collection and will feature in a future exhibition.
Georges River Council Mayor Elise Borg said the project is a chance for the community to help shape a living snapshot of local life.
"Every person in Georges River has a story worth telling. This project celebrates the heart, culture and character of our community.
"I encourage everyone to get involved, share their story and help us create a record that future generations will be proud of."
