Get into parkrun in Playford

Whether you're a serious runner keen to improve your times, or seeking some quality time with the family in the fresh air, parkrun is for you.

Playford's Stebonheath parkrun group is celebrating its first anniversary this month and you're invited to join the birthday fun, whether you're a first-timer or a returning runner.

Runners and walkers get together at Stebonheath every Saturday to enjoy some exercise in a friendly social setting.

Event organiser Cheryl McKibbin said parkrun is open to everyone, is free and is safe and easy to take part in.

"These events take place in pleasant parkland surroundings at Stebonheath and we encourage everyone to get involved," Cheryl said.

"From walkers, or those taking their first steps in running, to Olympians, from juniors to those with more experience, we welcome you all."

Parkrun is at Stebonheath Park from 8am every Saturday morning, but on 28 September participants will be in party mood and enjoying some costume fun, as well as birthday cake.
