A couple from Davoren Park is set to walk down the aisle with an extra spring in their step, thanks to a $700,000 lottery windfall from the Saturday X Lotto draw.
The South Australian pair, who held one of the seven division one winning entries in draw 4435 on January 20, 2024, claimed a prize of $708,136.79.
"That’s awesome. You have no idea how perfect this timing is," the winning wife cheered when their newfound fortune was confirmed by a lotto official.
“We’re actually getting married soon! This will help so much.
“We also have birthdays and all sorts of special events coming up.
“We’ve played for a couple of years now and we always use the same numbers each week.
“I’m here with my partner now. We just can’t believe it. We’re over the moon.
“A celebratory dinner will certainly be on the cards!
“Thank you again. How exciting.”
Their winning 14-game QuickPick was purchased from OTR Davoren Park, 41 Peachey Road, Davoren Park.
