Glenn Starr Rocks Ararat Town Hall Lunchtime Series

Ararat Rural City Council is inviting residents to enjoy a midweek musical escape when entertainer Glenn Starr brings his hit-packed show, Hit Parade, to Ararat Town Hall as part of Council's free lunchtime performance series.

The performance will be held at Ararat Town Hall Wednesday 6 May 2-26 from 11am, giving community members an opportunity to enjoy well-known songs performed live in the heart of the city.

Recreating the stunning sounds & timeless songs from the unforgettable golden age of music, Glenn Starr's Hit Parade brings the magic & melodies of the 50's & 60's back into the spotlight for all to enjoy.

Ararat Rural City Council CEO, Dr Tim Harrison, said the free lunchtime performances program reflected Council's commitment to making quality arts experiences easy to access.

"Our free lunchtime concerts are about opening the doors of Ararat Town Hall, welcoming people in, and making sure that live performance is part of everyday life in our community," Dr Harrison said. "Shows like Glenn Starr's Hit Parade bring people together in the middle of the week, support our local traders, and add another reason for residents and visitors to spend time in Ararat's city centre."
