Good news for Old Adaminaby - DA approval for improved boat ramp & carpark

Improved access to Lake Eucumbene for locals and tourists at Old Adaminaby has been secured, with the approval at the November Snowy Monaro Regional Council Meeting of a development application to extend and modernise the local boat ramp and carpark.

The area being redeveloped is already a popular spot to launch boats onto Lake Eucumbene, and the improved infrastructure will encourage more people to visit and pass through Adaminaby and Old Adaminaby.

With the area part of the historic Old Adaminaby town, careful planning went into ensuring artefacts and all heritage listed areas of importance will remain protected and undisturbed. As part of the process the general terms of approval have already been issued by the Heritage Council of NSW for the proposed work.

Funding for the project has been obtained under round 2 of the Stronger Country Community fund.

Full details of the development proposal can be viewed on Council's website in the November Ordinary Council Meeting business papers, please visit https://www.snowymonaro.nsw.gov.au/1701/ or contact Council on 1300 345 345 or [email protected]
