Gorokan Siblings Score $1M After 40-Year Lotto Quest

A Gorokan brother and sister duo are on top of the world this morning, thanking their long-held family tradition for delivering them a $1 million Weekday Windfall win.

The Central Coast siblings held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in Weekday Windfall draw 4648, drawn Wednesday 7 January 2026. Each division one winning entry bagged $1 million.

The winning sister, who had purchased the ticket, initially missed calls from us while she was in the shower.

"What? What?! You're kidding!" she screamed.

"Is this a prank call? I can't believe this. It's a ticket my brother and I share, and we've been putting it on since our kids were about two or three, and they're 40 now!

"You've caught me at a weird time. I was just washing the conditioner out of my hair.

"Oh god. Thank you so much. You have no idea how much this will help.

"I've got tears in my eyes. I've had such a series of tough times recently. This is life-changing.

"I work in healthcare, but maybe now I'll be able to enjoy some time off and not have to think about work for a bit.

"I've got to call my brother. Sometimes we stuff up and both put a ticket in! We've seriously been playing these exact same numbers for 40 years.

"I think I need a drink now. It's 12 o'clock somewhere. Actually, it's quite early - I just need a coffee!

"Thank you! You've my day, my week, my year, and my life!"

Their winning marked System 7 entry was purchased at Lake Haven Centre Newsagency, Shop 31, Lake Haven Shopping Centre, Lake Haven Dr & Goobarabah Ave, Gorokan.

Lake Haven Centre Newsagency owner David Goodwin said he was thrilled to sell a division one winning entry in Weekday Windfall.

"We're so happy for our customer. What a way to start the new year!" he said.

"We've been letting all our customers know the good news and hopefully they're next.

"The last time we sold a divison one winning entry was two years ago so we're very happy."
