Tasmanian clubs, local government, associations and other not-for-profit providers of sport and active recreation are encouraged to apply for grants under the second round of the 2018-19 Sport and Recreation Minor Grants Program.
Through the Grants Program, the Hodgman Liberal Government is helping to support organisations to provide sport and recreation opportunities across the State, in areas they are needed most.
Grants between $500 and $10,000, and up to 50 per cent of the total project cost, are available to assist with minor equipment purchases and the development and improvement of facilities and playing surfaces.
The Minor Grants program has gone a long way to assist sport and recreation clubs in increasing participation in sport and encouraging Tasmanians to be more active.
The Government is committed to improving the lives of all Tasmanians, and we have an ambitious target to reduce the State’s rate of obesity to below the national average by 2025.
Applications for the second round of the Sports and Recreation Minor Grants Program close on 6th of March 2019.
