Governments announce extension to Saskatchewan Crop Insurance Deadline

Today, Federal Agriculture and Agri-Food Minister, Marie-Claude Bibeau, and Saskatchewan Agriculture Minister, David Marit, announced the deadline to apply, reinstate, cancel or make changes to Crop Insurance contracts is extended to April 13, 2020.

Producers interested in Crop Insurance coverage for the 2020 year now have an additional two weeks to finalize their contracts. Extending the Crop Insurance deadline gives producers more time to prepare and make decisions regarding all aspects of their business, including risk management.
