The IAA is procuring an assessment provider, and advisers may experience some disruption during the transition.
The Immigration Advice Authority's (IAA) contract with its current competence assessment provider is coming to an end. In line with standard procurement processes, the IAA is undertaking a tender exercise to appoint a provider for future assessment services.
A new contract will provide an opportunity to improve the assessment process. Enhancements are being considered to simplify arrangements while maintaining high standards across the sector and delivering a more streamlined experience for candidates. This includes strengthening the assessment of ethics and understanding of the Code of Standards as a key element of professional competence.
During the transition, there may be some disruption to assessments scheduled over the coming months. Work is underway to minimise any impact and maintain continuity. Applicants will be kept informed of any developments. Anyone affected by disruption as a result of this transition will not be disadvantaged or penalised in their assessment.
