UK Gov

The LAA are undertaking a series of market engagement events relating to Inquests

The government has announced plans for the largest expansion of legal aid in a decade, ensuring bereaved families have access to non-means-tested support during inquests.

The LAA is inviting views from organisations currently providing or interested in providing advice and representation under the Public Office (Accountability) Bill proposals.

Why is it happening now?

The LAA wants to ensure that services are in place as soon as are required once the Bill becomes law.

Market engagement will gather feedback to inform future service design and assess providers' capacity, capability and interest in delivering work under the proposed legislation.

Where can I find out more?

  • Thursday 13 November, 4:30pm to 5:30pm
