Grants To Support Development Of Processing Facility

New Advancing Antimony Grants will support creating an antimony processing facility in Victoria.

Antimony is a heat-resistant critical mineral used in battery storage, advanced manufacturing and clean energy technology. Victoria has Australia's largest antimony deposits and the nation's only operating mine at Costerfield.

Processing minerals locally would boost manufacturing within the state, supporting regional economic development and new well-paid local jobs.

The $1million grant program opens in April and is part of Victoria's Critical Minerals Roadmap.

The Roadmap sets out a plan to unlock Victoria's minerals potential by attracting investment, enabling production and processing to ensure maximum benefits throughout the state.
