Great Lakes Officers Nab Man for Traffic Offenses

Manning/Great Lakes officers have charged a man wanted for alleged traffic offences in the state's north.

Officers attached to Manning/Great Lakes Police District commenced an investigation following reports of an alleged negligent driving incident on Thunderbolts Way, Giro about 36km northwest of Gloucester, in July 2024.

Following extensive investigations, police – with assistance from Orana Mid-Western Police District officers – arrested a 48-year-old man at a home on Smith Street, Dubbo, about 8.10am today (Tuesday 23 September 2025).

He was taken to Dubbo Police Station where he was charged by virtue of the outstanding warrant.

The man was refused bail to appear before Dubbo Local Court today, where he was granted conditional bail to reappear before the same court on Wednesday 19 November 2025.
