August 1–3, Redland Showgrounds:
Australia's Ultimate Kustom Kulture Weekend Returns in a Quarter-Century Birthday Bash
Mark your diaries for August 1, 2 and 3 and get ready for three unforgettable days of vintage cool, classic cars, and rip-roaring live music at the Redland Showgrounds - GreazeFest 2025 will be huge!
Between the hot rods, rockabilly riffs, pin-up perfection and all the grease and grit in between, this epic 25-year journey screams loyalty and legacy. A quarter of a century of horsepower, hairspray and high-octane attitude — Brisbane's GreazeFest has become Australia's longest-running and most iconic Rockabilly and Kustom Kulture festival. As festivals fall by the wayside, this is a major milestone.
Celebrating its 25th year of putting the cool in cruise and rock into retro, GreazeFest is a full-throttle celebration of all things kustom. From gleaming hot rods, customs and classics to vintage fashions, market stalls, art displays and automobilia, this is where culture meets chrome in the most unapologetically badass birthday bash.
This year's line-up features an Australian and international music program, with 22 live bands and DJs spinning rockabilly, rock'n'roll and vintage beats. The massive dance floor will be packed with jivers, strollers and rock and rollers ready to boogie all weekend long.
Also on the roster: the famous Pinup Party, supercool hair stylists, rockabilly gear galore and so much more. Whether you're here for the rides, the rhythms, or the retro vibe, GreazeFest 25 is the place to be.

Taking centre stage is the Hot Rod Show, as more than 400 enthusiasts from across Australia show off their candy-coloured and chrome dream machines. American and Australian classics through to the 1970s will be on show, plus vintage motorbikes, hot rods, muscle cars and daily drivers, with all entrants going in the running for the coveted GreazeFest Trophies.
The Pinup Party on Saturday (Aug 2) is about fun, fashion, and fabulous photo moments, culminating in a huge group photo with a tiki theme.
Special guest artist at GreazeFest 2025 is world renowned pinstriper (the freehand decorative artwork featured on cars) Wildman from Mooneyes, who is traveling from Japan exclusively for the event. Fans are welcome to bring their favourite piece to be pinstriped. Meet Wildman - from Mooneyes Japan
Two tiki carvers this year - Campbell Griffiths, also known as Watango Tiki, is deeply immersed in tiki culture and Tiki Stacey, a skilled timber carver inspired by mid-century modern, tiki culture, surf music and vintage fashion.
The new theme for the GreazeFest Art Show in 2025 is the Road Sign Art Show. Over 70 Australian artists are busy creating their own shield-shaped Road Sign into a stunning work of art, in support of long-time GreazeFest charity partner the RSPCA. All creations, be they painted, sculpted, milled, rusted or chromed, will be on public display for the public vote, plus signs can be purchased.

WHAT IS ROCKABILLY? Rockabilly was born in the mid-1950s, when a young Elvis Presley brought country music and rhythm'n'blues together in a powerful amalgamation at Sun Studios in Memphis. Other Sun acts such as Carl Perkins and Johnny Cash propelled the genre with signature rhythms, twangy guitars and rebellious flair. As this new music was embraced across America, the exciting sounds of rockabilly evolved into rock'n'roll, giving birth to an entire musical genre that shaped the music world as we know it today. Modern rockabilly culture kicked off in the early 1980s with the emergence of performers such as The Stray Cats (USA) and Shakin' Stevens (UK), who celebrated the vintage aesthetic and music and brought the music back into the charts for an entirely new audience. Rockabilly's legacy endures, influencing modern music and lifestyles, and is celebrated through festivals, clubs, and an enduring global fanbase. GreazeFest is the Australian flagship event.
