An investigation is underway following a public place shooting in Sydney's west overnight.
Just after 11.10pm yesterday (Tuesday 31 March 2026), police were called to a hospital in Sydney's west following reports of a man with serious injuries.
On arrival, police located a 33-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his stomach.
The man remains at the hospital for further treatment under police guard.
Following inquiries, about 11.50pm on the same day, officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command were called to Mavis Street, Greystanes, where police allege a shot was fired at a house.
A crime scene has been established, and police commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
