Grievous Bodily Harm Charge, Deception Bay

Police have charged a 16-year-old boy following an incident in Deception Bay last night, April 6.

It is alleged around 9.35pm, emergency services responded to reports of a wounding outside of a Deception Bay Road business, involving a group of people.

Initial investigations indicated a 17-year-old Carseldine boy had been cut with an implement.

He was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police attended and took a number of people into custody at the scene.

A 16-year-old Deception Bay boy has been charged with one count of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and is expected to appear at Redcliffe Childrens Court tomorrow, April 8.

Investigations are ongoing.
