Grievous bodily harm charges in Yarrabilba, QLD

Two men have been charged following an alleged assault that occurred in Yarranilba late last night, Queensland Police say.

Police will allege that a 29-year-old man was with two other men at an address on Huggins Avenue when they assaulted the man.

It is further alleged that the 29-year-old fled to a nearby fast food restaurant where staff and members of the public were able to contact emergency services.

The man was treated for a suspected broken eye socket and has been transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment of his injures.

Two men were located nearby and were arrested by police.

A 29-year-old man and a 38-year-old man, both from Yarrabilba, have been charged with one count each of grievous bodily harm.

They are due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
