Grievous bodily harm in Tamborine Mountain, QLD

Detectives have charged a man with grievous bodily harm following an incident in Tamborine Mountain last week, Queensland Police say.

It will be alleged that around 11.30pm on Sunday, September 3 a 25-year-old man approached a 19-year-old man at a house party on Pendennis Road before punching and kicking him a number of times.

The victim, who was a guest at the party, had several teeth damaged and suffered lacerations to the head and body as a result of the alleged assault.

The two men were not known to each other before the party.

Detectives from Logan Criminal Investigation Branch arrested a 25-year-old Eagleby man yesterday in relation to the alleged assault.

He has been charged with one count of grievous bodily harm and is expected to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Tuesday, October 10.
