Griffith University Unites with the Commonwealth Games Group

By now you would have probably see the graphics used in the Commonwealth Games Group’s Project Unite public awareness campaign. The imagery was developed by Griffith University’s Liveworm project under the guidance of the project manager David Sergeant, who worked in partnership with the Unite team. The students’ concepts were all so good it was difficult to decide on the final product, Queensland Police say.

Recently Assistant Commission Peter Crawford of the Commonwealth Games Group hosted a morning tea to personally recognise and thank the Liveworm team for their assistance with the project.  The success of the project rests on strong partnerships across various government departments and private sector organisations including Griffith University to better protect crowded places.

Project Unite reinforces the Australian National Security message ‘If it doesn’t add up, speak up’, and encourages all Queenslanders to report suspicious activity to the National Security Hotline by calling 1800 123 400.
