Gloucester residents have their final opportunity to comment on their draft local community plan next week.
One of the key priority areas identified in the plan is strengthening the local economy, with improving employment opportunities high on the agenda.
The draft plan identifies that the growth of industries such as tourism offers opportunity, however more diversity is required to provide for opportunities for youth and a growing community.
The plan recognises that the nearby Barrington wilderness area provides opportunities for development as an area of excellence for natural resource management in addition to other opportunities such as agriculture, Aboriginal and adventure tourism.
Gloucester residents are being asked for their feedback on the draft plan, which has been developed by the community and aims to capture what is important for the community's future across all areas, not just those services delivered by Council
There's a range of other inspiring actions in the plan, which aim to work towards the Gloucester community's vision for its future in the areas of infrastructure, environment and caring for community.
You can visit haveyoursay.midcoast.nsw.gov.au/gloucesterlcp to read the draft plan, and complete the feedback activities online.
You can email us with your feedback, or post your submission, but you'll need to be quick.
The consultation closes at 4.30pm on Tuesday 14 September, so make sure you have your say soon.
