Guide Youth to Forge Healthy Relationships

Young people in Australia are faced with so much as they approach adolescence, and it's hard to know how to support them to build healthy and respectful relationships.

If you're a parent or carer of a young person aged 8-14 (approx.) and want to explore how to have important and open conversations about respect and wellbeing, join us for this free webinar on Wednesday 26 November between 7:30 pm - 9 pm.

Rana Hussain, a pioneer in the realms of inclusion and belonging, will lead a panel of speakers to help parents and carers understand the experiences, challenges and influences in young people's lives, as well as provide tools and advice to help navigate difficult conversations.

The panel will consist of a trio of experts working with young people

  • Jess Sanders, a social worker, educator and best-selling author
  • Lindsay Marchment from The Man Cave
  • Angie, a young person who participated in FVREE's 'Leaders for Change' Program.

Parents and carers will leave with an increased awareness about respect, gender stereotypes, and will encourage positive shifts in young people.

This webinar will be delivered during 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence, recognised every year from 25 November to 10 December, where communities around the world join the call to prevent and eliminate violence against women and girls.

Help and support is available if you or someone you know is experiencing family violence. Visit www.knox.vic.gov.au/familyviolencesupport
