A man is due to appear in court tomorrow charged with numerous firearm and drug-related offences, NSW Police say.
Police from Holroyd Local Area Command executed search warrants at a home in Fearn Street, Toongabbie, shortly after 11am today.
Holroyd Pro-Active Crime Team have been conducting an investigation into the supply of prohibited drugs within the area.
When police entered the home they allegedly located and seized a shortened double barrel shotgun, drugs and drug paraphernalia, a replica pistol, and ammunition.
About an hour later, a 29-year-old man was arrested in Erby Street, Parramatta, and was taken to Merrylands Police Station.
The man has now been charged with the following offences:
• Possess shortened firearm (not pistol) without authority
• Possess unauthorised firearm
• Not keep firearm safely – prohibited firearm
• Possess ammunition w/o holding licence/permit/authority
• Possess prohibited drug
• Possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit
• Possess/attempt to, prescribed restricted substance.
The man has been bail refused to appear at Fairfield Local Court tomorrow.
