Guns N' Roses announce 1st support acts for summer reunion tour

- The reunited Guns N' Roses have announced the first support acts for their upcoming summer tour, NME reports.

The band will be joined on the 'Not In This Lifetime Tour' by Alice In Chains in Detroit, Washington DC, Kansas City and Chicago, and by Lenny Kravitz at their shows in Foxboro and East Rutherford.

"I don't normally do gigs like this," Kravitz told Rolling Stone. "But sometimes you've got to do things for the fun of it, for the experience. I'm looking forward to playing with them and celebrating them coming back together."

Asked how he will structure his set to appeal to the Guns N' Roses crowd, Kravitz added: "We're definitely going to jam and improvise and get loose, and treat it like a festival. Summertime always makes me think of festivals like the Isle of Wight, when Miles Davis and Jimi Hendrix played. I love the summer, outdoor concert vibe, so we'll rock out and improvise and go deep and get psychedelic and out there."

Guns N' Roses' reunion tour runs from June 23 to August 22, with all dates taking place in North America. Dates outside of North America have yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, it has also been confirmed that GN'R frontman Axl Rose is to perform with AC/DC as lead singer for the remainder of their tour, replacing Brian Johnson, who has been advised by doctors to stop touring if he wants to save his hearing.

AC/DC currently have 12 European live dates booked in for May and June, including two UK shows: London's Olympic Stadium on June 4 and Manchester's Etihad Stadium on June 9, before the GnR American tour gets underway.
