Residents are invited to have their say on the draft concept plan for Harristown's Smithfield Park, in Toowoomba, by June 15, 2025, as part of the park's upgrade to a District Recreation Park.
Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) Parks and Recreation Services portfolio spokesperson Cr Tim McMahon said the creation of a concept plan would help to guide Council's future improvements to the park.
"The concept plan will establish a long-term vision for the park, guiding Council's future park upgrade works and give consideration to improved or new features," Cr McMahon said.
"Following the first round of community consultation earlier in the year, feedback has been used to inform and develop a draft concept plan.
"The draft concept plan proposes play equipment with a focus on quality play for toddlers and young children, improved picnic facilities, paths for both connectivity and physical activity, as well as sporting equipment.
