Hawks Nest project updates

MidCoast Council

Works to build a new amenities block at Providence Park, Hawks Nest will kick off from late August and a new fish cleaning table has been installed at the Moira Parade boat ramp last month.

The new amenities block will include unisex toilets, parents and accessible facilities and will service both the park and the beach areas.

The old amenities block will remain open and accessible during the construction phase, and then will be demolished once the new block is operational.

Weather permitting, works should be complete by November.

Thanks to a Recreational Fishing Trust Grant, a four-person fish cleaning table has been installed at the Moira Parade boat ramp in Hawks Nest.

The new table replaces an old and tired structure, with the works including a new concrete slab, drainage and the table.

In addition, planning work is underway on an upgrade to Tea Garden's rising sewer main, and the Hawks Nest Sewage Treatment plant, which will ensure it can meet the demands of expected population growth. These projects represent a significant investment in Hawks Nest Tea Gardens sewage treatment infrastructure.
