Health Scorecard shows the facts

The Hodgman Liberal Government has today released a Health Scorecard*, which clearly shows how far we have come since 2014.

FACT: Health investment in 2014 was $5.8 billion. In 2018, it’s $7.6 billion.

FACT: Elective surgeries per year in 2014 was 15,315. In 2018, it’s 17,576.

FACT: There were 855 FTE doctors in 2014. In 2018, there are 943.

FACT: In 2014, there were 3365 FTE nurses. In 2018, there are 3738.

We know there is more to do, which is why our record investment over the next five-and-a-half years includes nearly 300 new hospital beds, new services, and more than 1300 more frontline staff.

The Royal Hobart Hospital Redevelopment is less than a year away and we are rolling out new services and new beds across the state.
