The Gwydir Highway is closed in both directions about 50km west of Moree after a heavy vehicle fire.
Police and emergency services were called to the location about 12.30am (Monday 20 November 2017) after a b-double carrying 70 tonnes of wheat caught alight.
The driver was uninjured and emergency services remain on scene.
Heavy vehicles are urged to use alternate routes.
